WELCOME TO THE 2011 LATINO EDUCATION CONFERENCE
Experts in the STEM Fields Gather at the Latino Education Conference
LATINO Magazine and its Sponsorship Partners united about 250 prominent Latino experts in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields for a call to action.
As Congressman Ruben Hinojosa noted in a recent interview in LATINO Magazine, America has an urgent need to train “an additional 100,000 engineers over and above the number we are graduating each year.” But it will be impossible unless we are encouraging Latinos to enter the STEM fields. Meeting this challenge is the key to NUESTRO FUTURO (the conference theme.)
Please enjoy the informative web broadcast of the event.
